Salem House is a rural Bed and Breakfast, set in an acre of private
gardens, next to an historic old copper & tin mine and community. Salem
House is part of the historic Tregothnan Estate. The house dates back to
the 1600's, originally built for the Hornblower family, one of the
historic mine owners of Cornwall. The house is steeped in history.
Salem House is a "home from home" hosted by Lisa, with spacious,
private accommodation and luxury furnishings. We offer freshly prepared
local produce, cooked to order and freshly home baked cakes on arrival.
You can sit outside your french doors and enjoy the secluded garden and
watch the world go by.
Salem House is centrally located, making
both the North and South Coasts easily accessible, along with all the
major attractions and towns being within easy driving distance. We are a
2 minute walk from a bus stop, making public transport an easy option.
Buses to Truro are every 10 minutes and run until late in the evening.
Truro is the Capital City of Cornwall. A beautiful Cathedral City
with cobbled streets and the amenities, restaurants and nightlife of a
cosmopolitan centre.
The surrounding area is particularly enjoyed
by walkers and cyclists, with many public foot and cycle paths close by.
Business travellers and those wanting to keep in touch with the
office and home are well catered for. We offer free wifi BT openzone
24/7. We also provide free SKY TV with included Movie Channels.
If there is anything else you need or require for your stay, please ask
and we will do our best to help you.
